Our Story
Shane and Katy were both born and raised in here in Cherokee County, Alabama. They have a thriving law practice just beside Easy Street and spend most of there days walking back and forth between the two buildings. Shane has played and performed music for over 30 years. In fact, it has always been his dream to own his own restaurant and performance venue. Well, that’s just what he did and both aspects of the business have been a great success. Opening in the middle of COVID-19 in early 2021 couldn’t even slow them down. Shane and Katy love Easy Street and they love the people that make it up - from family like Shane’s parents Jimmy and Sharon, Shane and Katy’s children Colin and Ellisan, to all our friends, staff, and customers alike.
What’s the names about? Many years ago Shane built a separate building beside his house where he and his friends and their families could watch football, play cards, have parties, and socialize. During one of the first events there, someone mentioned that it must be nice to live on Easy Street, which got a small laugh from everyone. For some reason, however, the building became known from then on as Easy Street. When plans were made to build this place, it just made sense to Shane to call it Easy Street. A place you can come and feel comfortable, socialize friends old and new, have a great meal, and enjoy some great entertainment. Shane designed ever inch of Easy Street to meet those goals.
So, if you’re new to Easy Street - Welcome, we’re glad you’re here or deciding to come here. If you’ve been before - Thank you, your business and friendship mean the world to us. If you’ve been here and you weren’t completely satisfied, come back and we’ll make it right. And if you’re Jake Powell, where in the heck have you been?!
